The LDR is Generally defined as the Light Depending Resistor where, the LDR is variable photo Resistor which when light falls on it the resistivity is low and when it is in less exposure to light it have high resistance. The photo resistor may vary from from 0 to certain mega ohm.
DARK LAMP CIRCUIT:
Generally the Dark Lamp Circuit is the where the Light in this Circuit glows in DARK and it when in LIGHT the LED does not glow thus the working of Dark Lamp Circuit.Circuit Diagram:
Components Required:
1) LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)
2) BC 547
3) LED
4) 1k-ohm Resistor
5) Breadboard
6) Connecting Wires.
Procedure:
Step 1: Take the Required Components listed above in the circuit and also take an Breadboard.Step 2 : Now take the BC547 transistor and connect in the Breadboard and also connect 1k-ohm resistor to the base of the Transistor to the collector of the transistor.
Step 3 : Connect the Light Dependent Resistor one end to the base of the transistor and connect another end of Light Dependent transistor to the -ve terminal of the Battery.
Step 4 : Connect LED positive end to the Emitter of the Transistor and also connect the LED negative end to the negative terminal of the battery.
Step 5 : Now connect the Collector of the transistor to the positive terminal of the battery and LDR and LED negative end to the negative end of the Battery.
Note : After connecting battery to the circuit the LED glows when no light falls on the LDR(Light Dependent Resistor) and LED do not glow when light falls on the the LDR(Light Dependent Resistor).
