What is
Satellite?

Satellite is an artificial body which is placed in orbit and
round the earth or a planet to collect information or for communication.
What is the
principle of satellite?

Satellite is a body that moves around the orbit which is a
mathematical predictable path. It is helpful in telecommunication, radio,
television and weather forecasting.
How does a
satellite get power?

Sun is the main power source of satellite, the solar panel
mounted on satellite helps in getting power from sunlight. Each array consists
of thousands of small solar cell which is made up of silicon.
How does
communication satellite works?

Communication satellite just bounce signal from one side of
Earth to other. A beam of signal is transmitted to satellite with the help of
transmitter dish and the Satellite send it to receiving dish. In this way the
communication satellite works.
How many Satellites
in space?

Since, about 8,100 satellites were sent by more than 40
countries. According to 2018 estimate some 4,900 remains in orbit and about
1,900 were operational.
Which is the first satellite?

The first successful satellite was
sent by Soviet Union on October 4, 1957 and it is named as Sputnik 1. The
satellite was in the size of beach ball and took about 98 minutes to orbit the
Earth on its elliptical path.
What happens to old satellite in space?

The Engineers will use last bit of fuel to
slow down the satellite. Satellite will fall out of orbit and burn up in the
atmosphere. It can take lot of fuel for a satellite to slow down enough to fall
back into the atmosphere.
