Scientist and researchers have estimated that nearly 150-200 species of bird, mammal, plant and insect become extinct everyday that means within 24 hours. In this blog we are going to see the 5 species which is in near Extinction.

Amur leopard


 The Amur leopard is listed as the Critically Endangered on IUCN Red List. The Amur leopard is a leopard subspecies native to the southeastern Russia and northern China. The Male Amur leopard weights from 32.2-48 kg and Female Amur leopard weight from 
25-42.5 kg. The Amur leopard is considered as one of the rarest cats on Earth.

Cross River Gorilla


The Cross River Gorilla is listed as the Critically Endangered on ICUN Red List. The Cross River Gorilla is named by Paul Matschie in 1904. The Cross River Gorillas is found inhibiting the tropical jungles and forests of western and central Africa. The Male Cross River Gorilla has average Height of 165-175 cm and a weight of 140-200 kg and Female Cross River Gorilla has average height of 140 cm and a weight of 100 kg. The Cross River Gorilla is considered as one of the rarest Gorilla on Earth.

Sumatran Orangutan


The Sumatran Orangutan is listed as the Critically Endangered on ICUN Red List. The Sumatran Orangutan is one of the three species of Orangutan. The Sumatran Orangutan is found only in north of Indonesian island of Sumatra. The Male Sumatran Orangutan Grow about 1.4 m and a weight of 90 kg and Female Sumatran Orangutan grow about 90 cm and a weight of 45 kg. The Sumatran Orangutan is considered as one of the rarest Orangutan on Earth.

Javan Rhinoceros


The Javan Rhinoceros is listed as the Critically Endangered on ICUN Red List. The Javan Rhinoceros is a very rare member of the family Rhinocerotidae and one of the five Extant Rhinoceros. The Javan Rhinoceros are found in Java and Sumatra, throughout Southeast Asia, into India and China. The Length of Javan Rhino is 2 to 4 meters and weigh between 900 to 2300 kg. The Javan Rhinoceros is considered as one of the rarest Rhinoceros on Earth.

Hawksbill Sea turtle


The Vaquita is listed as the Critically Endangered on ICUN Red List. The Hawksbill Sea turtle is found World Wide. It is the only extant species in the genus Eretmochelys. The Hawksbill Sea turtle grow upto 1 m in length and weighs around 80 kg on average. The Hawksbill Sea turtle is considered as one of the rarest Turtle on Earth.
